The Gretski is an all around “great one” for all mountain exploring and ski touring. It also performs well on groomers and has a 5 point side-cut with a tapered tip and tail for a tight radius underfoot. The added carbon layer construction makes for an exceptionally lightweight ski that is stable at high speeds in technical terrain.
The 99 shape Gretski comes from backcountry days, when we were riding around the globe looking for first descents to ski. We were looking at one another and said, there’s no guarantee… nobody has ever skied this before. But if you’re standing up looking at a 60 degree, 3000ft wall, there’s a 99.99% chance it hasn’t been skied before – so we call these lines Gretski’s – that’s the inspiration for this ski and that’s what it’s best at doing. It slays pow, lot’s of rocker, camber underfoot, really lively, really fun – built for going deep and slaying your favorite line.

The yellow cedar is a unique wood only found in the pacific coast where it is strongest in the high elevations of the western coast mountains. Cedar is a slow growing sub-alpine tree that is lightweight and resonates with great longevity and resistance to decay.
Fine in texture, it has a straight and narrow grain that creates a predictable flex pattern and a harder density than most softwoods. This makes Foon ski cores exceptionally damp, and stable. Yellow cedar is well recognized for it quality, exclusivity and element of prestige. This symbolizes the heritage of the coast mountains that is captured in Foon skis.
The process of a hand poured urethane sidewall has been the signature of Foon skis since the start. The molecular bond formed between the sidewall and our coast mountain core offers a combination of vibration dampening and durability from edge impact.
A urethane sidewall is achieved in the core profiling processes by channeling the sidewall profile using our in-house CNC machine and carefully mixing the perfect blend of urethane that poured into the core. This unique process allows Foon to avoid the use of traditional petroleum plastics commonly used for sidewalls in ski production.
Foon offers a two year warranty from the date of purchase on all skis models damaged due to a manufacturer defect.
Foon is dedicated to the development of quality and performance in every ski built, offering a performance guarantee on all skis.
Foon skis are 100% locally handcrafted in Pemberton, BC. All materials are locally & sustainably sourced whenever possible.
